Kevin Carlson, CLU, National Sales Vice President

Kevin started his career in benefits in 1966, first as an agent and then as a district sales manager with The Equitable Life of the U.S. He was one of the founders of EOI and also served as VP of sales. His background includes roles as vice president of sales with two national life insurance companies, Irish Life of North America and Americo, Inc. He rejoined EOI in 2004 and currently holds the position of national sales vice president.

 

Tom Brinton, Regional Director of Marketing, Southwest

Tom has been involved in employee benefits for 21 years and has a strong background in providing brokers and customers with value-based results that specifically promote core EOI values and solutions. His focus centers on providing clients with strategic solutions for their employees, specifically around benefit communications and open enrollment needs. Since joining EOI in 2015, Tom has helped develop the Dallas-Fort Worth market through his work with key broker relationships. Tom is currently working on obtaining his CEBS designation.

 

Rob Fulton, Regional Director of Marketing, Pacific

Rob has 35 years of experience in the insurance and employee benefit industry, specializing in the design, implementation and financing of benefit communication and enrollment services. He has achieved numerous sales and marketing awards as an insurance producer. He has also built worksite marketing and distribution systems as a Sales Officer for several insurance companies including Security Life of Denver, Transamerica, and ING. Prior to joining EOI, Rob managed the Worksite Voluntary Benefit western sales channel for Humana.

 

Chris Guckert, Vice President, Strategic Marketing

Chris is responsible for the company’s business development and process improvement. With over 25 years of experience in benefit communications and company operations, Chris enriches our processes by providing a multifaceted perspective of the employee, employer, broker, and vendor during the execution of benefit enrollments. Before joining EOI, Chris served as one of the founders and managing partners of iBenefit Communication in Baltimore, MD. He was also the founder, owner, and managing partner of the Baltimore-based enrollment firm, Impact Enrollment Solutions, for 14 years. Chris is a prominent member of the benefit and enrollment industry, having served on insurance company advisory boards, spoken at nationwide industry conferences, and written books and articles about matters pertaining to the benefit enrollment practice.

 

Kristen Patterson, MBA, Marketing Manager

Kristen began her employee benefit career in 1988 in Hartford, CT working in Aetna’s employer-sponsored universal life sales division. She spent 10 years at Aetna in both account management and in sales specialist roles. When Aetna divested their UL division she became a regional director of sales, 401(k) division, for ING and was charged with developing business by working with ING broker dealer partners in California’s deferred compensation market. Kristen brings her management and sales experience, as well as her education in marketing and communications, to the role of marketing manager at EOI. She is responsible for supporting EOI’s overall sales and marketing initiatives.

 

Garry Sullivan, Senior Marketing Consultant

Garry joined EOI in March 2011 as a senior marketing consultant after his successful career leading Aon Consulting’s National Elective Benefits Practice. With Aon Consulting since 1967, his entire career has been devoted to the development and management of voluntary insurance distribution programs in group environments. Garry is a past president (1992-1993) of the Professional Insurance Marketing Association (PIMA) and a long-standing member of the Risk and Insurance Managers Society and the New York Chapter of Chartered Life Underwriters. In 2009 and 2010, he was the recipient of the “Benefits Power Broker Award”, awarded by Risk & Insurance and Human Resource Executive Publications.

 

Jennifer Marchetti, Director, Communications

Jennifer graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Culture, and minors in business and German. Since joining EOI in March 2010 she has lead the creation and expansion of our communications practice and now holds the position of Director, Communications. In this role, Jennifer is responsible for leading strategic dialogue with brokers and clients, implementing new communications strategies, and managing EOI’s brand identity. She is also in the process of completing her CEBS designation.

 

Elyssa Dahl, Communications Specialist

At EOI, Elyssa designs and coordinates the implementation of customized communication plans for our clients’ annual enrollment periods. Throughout her career, she has channeled a passion for creative thinking and writing into the production of marketing campaigns for a range of brands and industries, such as Amazon, Coca-Cola, HTC, and Southwest Airlines. Previously, she held the position of Manager, Consumer Engagement at the Seattle-based creative agency, 206Agency. Elyssa holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.

 

Jon Myers, Marketing & Communications Specialist

Jon joined EOI in 2016 as a Marketing & Communications Specialist, with a focus on Email Marketing. Offering strategic thinking and technical experience, he collaborates with the Communications Team to plan, design and execute successful email campaigns. Prior to joining EOI, Jon worked as a Marketing Specialist with Hanson Dodge Creative in Milwaukee, WI.  There he supported the Brand Strategy and Business Development departments through his consumer research and digital marketing efforts. He holds an M.A. in Communications from Marquette University and a B.S. in Marketing from Miami University (Ohio).

 

Heather Myers, Project Implementation Analyst

Heather joined EOI in October of 2017 as a Project Implementation Analyst. Heather possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface with all levels of management and individuals from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. She thrives in fast paced and changing environments as a detail oriented and proficient multitasker. Heather’s project management experience enables her to think practically in order to solve problems and coordinate all aspects of the project including budgeting and scheduling. Heather is also a customer service expert with a range of skills including process improvement, documentation, tracking and streamlining and writing policies and procedures.

 

Kory Powell, Communications Specialist

Kory joined EOI as a Communications Specialist in March of 2018. Bringing his passion for creative problem-solving to EOI, Kory works with clients to design and coordinate the execution of customized communication plans for their annual enrollment periods. Throughout his career, he has utilized his creativity and strategic thinking for marketing campaigns across a variety of industries. Prior to joining EOI, Kory worked as a Content Marketer with TMP Worldwide where he produced digital marketing campaigns for IBM Global Business Services, Lowe’s, Six Flags, KFC, and Holiday Inn. He holds a B.A. in Advertising from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
