Michelle Groth, Director of Client Engagement

Michelle’s expertise stems from her work with some of Chicago’s largest benefit firms in both sales and service capacities. Before joining EOI, Michelle was an Account Executive at Hartford, working alongside Chicago consultants on opportunities with up to 5,000 lives. She also played a crucial role in sales at Prudential and Unum in addition to working in service at Lincoln Financial. Michelle holds Bachelor degrees in Human Resources, Marketing, and Management from University of Wisconsin – Madison.

 

Edna Jimenez, Regional Director of Field Operations

Edna began her career with State Mutual Insurance as a brokerage administration manager in Portland, OR in 1987. In 1996, she moved to a benefits firm as the lead person in their benefit communication and enrollment group and, in 1997, assumed responsibility for case set-up and conducting group presentations. She came to EOI in June 2000 in the role of account executive, later becoming regional director of field operations. Her responsibilities include managing counselors and enrollments, including case set up and on-site implementation, and maintaining client relationships.

 

Daniel Leyland, Account Executive

Daniel has over 13 years of voluntary benefits experience and started work in the industry as a benefit counselor for Insurance Point in 2001. He was promoted to enrollment case manager in 2002, and shortly after that moved into a sales consultant role. He has worked for EOI since 2010 and is currently an account executive. In his role as account executive, Daniel is responsible for the planning and execution of communication and enrollment projects. He is a hands-on relationship manager who works diligently with clients and internally at EOI to schedule and maintain an effective enrollment.  Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and finance from Accrington & Rossendale College, England.

 

Trina Baker, Account Executive

Trina has been in the insurance industry since 1987. She started her insurance career with CNA where she did small business commercial underwriting. She then began working for Seabury & Smith and Crum & Froster before moving into the personal insurance industry. Trina became a top ten life insurance producer with AAA of Michigan in 2005 and 2006. Joining EOI in 2012, Trina was a benefit counselor until she was promoted to Account Executive in 2016. In her current role, she is responsible for managing on-site counselors and building relationships with clients, brokers, and vendors.

 

Jackie Lucas, Account Executive

Jackie started her insurance career in 1976 as a broker with C J Thomas Co. in St. Louis, MO where she managed commercial accounts for property, casualty, life, and health. As the insurance industry grew with new voluntary benefits in 1987, it became her passion to educate employers and employees about these affordable benefits. She has previously worked with Lincoln National, Aetna, and Benefit Communications, Inc. to market voluntary benefits, schedule and set up enrollments. Since joining EOI in 2001, she has become an account executive where she is responsible for the planning and execution of enrollment projects in the field, counselor training, and the ongoing management of client relationships.

 

Ted Tasker, ChFC, National Director of Field Operations

Ted has been with EOI since 1988 where he first started as a benefit counselor and then worked as an account executive. Ted’s current responsibilities as the national director of field operations include hiring, training, and managing benefit counselors. He runs EOI’s benefit counselor certification program and also functions as an account executive on some enrollments. Ted earned his ChFC designation in 2000 and has an MBA from DePaul University.
